Optimizing Your Google Business Profile for Voice Search

There are two dominant voice search systems: Google (used by Alexa and Google Assistant) and Apple (Siri). To get found on either, you need a location set up in both Apple Maps and your Google Business Profile.

Set up at least 10 top questions your customers commonly ask. If you're unsure what those are, ask your favorite AI tool what the top questions are for your industry.

10 Voice-Ready Questions for Your Profile

To set these up, use your personal Google account to "Ask a question" on your business page, then switch to your business account to answer it. Example format for a service business:

    1. "Who is the best [service] company near [Your City]?"

    2. "Do you offer [specialty service]?"

    3. "How much does it cost to hire a [professional]?"

    4. "Are you open for weekend work?"

    5. "How long does a typical project take?"

    6. "Do you offer [related service] if I already have [X]?"

    7. "Can you come to my location?"

    8. "What areas do you serve?"

    9. "Do you offer [modern/digital variant of service]?"

    10. "How do I book a consultation with you?"

Answer each one clearly and naturally, mentioning your city and specific services — this helps both voice assistants and AI search tools understand exactly what you offer and where.

    Pro Tip for AEO

After answering, "Like" your own answers using your personal account. Google's system often shows the most "liked" questions at the top of your profile, making sure your best answers are seen first.
